The Leupold GX-3 Golf Digital Rangefinder
Most golf rangefinders on the course are either a Bushnell or a Leupold GX-3, from what I can tell. With the Leupold taking the lead in popularity, I think.
The OLED Optics that Leupold has integrated into this unit makes looking at targets and getting distances easy to read. Of course, the OLED makes a big difference in the optics but the sun and the angle you are taking your shot at may make it difficult to read. More times than not, this is not a problem, the Optics is great in this unit.
A fog mode making those fogy mornings not a problem for the Leupold GX-3, scan mode taking constant readings (distances) while you pan the course. Great for making decisions about your next shot.
The battery will last you most of the summer, or maybe you will need to change it once. A very rugged and reliable unit, it seems like it is non-destructible.
Feels great in your hand and is amazingly accurate, the Pin Hunter Technology is great at giving you the distance to the pin and not background trees.
Have seen them on the course and a few friends have one and say the features, the ease of use, and what the GX-3 does for their score is the proof that they really work. Therefore, the Leupold GX-3 Digital Golf Rangefinder seems to be another popular choice of golf rangefinders that golfers are using.
They all swear by their Leupold GX-3 and most say they would turn around and go back and get it if they forgot to put it in their bag for the day.
